The park is also home to a variety of bird species and to Budgie Bush-Walk Aviary where you can walk through a an enclosed aviary with hundred of colorful and exotic birds.

Don't forget to pick up a pack of bird feed on sticks at the gift shop for $5 for four sticks.

Many of the close encounters are paid attractions and food to feed the animals are available at an extra cost. We purchased the bundle that includes a bucket of alligator feed, a cup of animal feed ,two bird feed sticks and two giraffe leaves.

Near the giraffe there is a stand where you can purchase more lettuce to feed the giraffe. I must say, feeding the animals is the children's favorite part of the entire experience.

8. Bring a battery bank: I don't recall seeing any charging stations at the park so make sure you bring a battery bank if you plan on recording and taking a lot of pictures but don't want your phone to die on you.

9. Bring a stroller: If you have little ones that may get tired of walking, I would highly recommend that you bring a stroller along.
